Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the 17th World Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and 17th World Congress for Bronchoesophagology, we extend a warm invitation to you to join us in Cleveland, Ohio June 15-18, 2012.

Through the efforts of the Advisory Committee, Committee of Chairs, and Scientific Committee, a CME-accredited course has been designed that will provide health care professionals from around the world the opportunity to learn about the recent advances in Interventional Pulmonology and Bronchoesophagology.

During a three-day period, this Congress will feature high-quality educational symposia, that will highlight the cutting-edge issues and new technology that is important to all practitioners in these fields. Sessions will be presented by experts in the field who have the knowledge and skills to review and analyze the data. Poster sessions, hands-on workshops, and exhibits will be incorporated into the Congress to extend learning opportunities. We are certain that participants will find this meeting highly educational as the information presented will be most scientific and evidence based.

New this year, is a Nursing Symposium, which will be integrated within the Congress, so be sure to invite your nursing staff to this educational offering.

The month of June is a wonderful time of year here in Cleveland with warm temperatures and vibrant foliage. The Congress will also allow ample opportunity for networking with our colleagues through a number of social activities, including an exciting Gala Reception at the world famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tours will be available to discover the Cleveland area and our new casino, but also remember that we are in close proximity to Chicago, Niagara Falls, and New York City for pre/post congress visits.

Special Surgical Symposium

Dear Colleagues:

It is my very great pleasure to announce the 17th World Congress for Bronchoesophagology of the International Bronchoesophagology Society which is being held in conjunction with our sister society, the World Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.

Join me and esteemed colleagues from all over the world to hear the latest about clinical and scientific issues in laryngology, surgical bronchology, and esophagology. These sessions will take place Saturday and Sunday during the Congress and will be a wonderful event only to be made better by your participation. This society was conceived by the great Chevalier Jackson and made real by his son Chevalier L. Jackson over 50 years ago. Registration for the WCBE is independent of the WCBIP.

Cleveland is wonderful city, home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and the Cleveland Clinic. There will be ample venues for building new friendships as we bridge the divides that geographic distances can promote. You will leave enriched and delighted; I guarantee it!
